Professional tools for every application
Tyrolit develops and manufactures grinding and cutting tools for two major sectors: the metalworking industry and the construction industry. In the metalworking industry, the tools are used wherever precision and tool life are crucial — in the machining of steel and cast iron structures, in automotive production, in the transmission industry and bearing industry, in medical technology and in the foundry industry. In the construction industry, the tools support sawing and drilling contractors, floor grinding specialists as well as all users who work with concrete, natural stone and mineral-based building materials on a daily basis.
The range of tools is designed to meet professional requirements: whether for tradespeople on construction sites, production engineers in series production, or technical procurement staff who need to ensure reliable supply and consistent quality — Tyrolit offers the right tool for every one of these situations.
The range of tools is divided into ten main categories:
Choosing the right tool always depends on the machine being used. Tyrolit offers a tailored range for all standard machine classes:
On angle grinders — by far the most commonly used machine type in the range — cutting-off wheels, grinding wheels, flap discs, fibre discs and cup grinding wheels are used. On straight grinders, mounted points are used for machining bores, contours and castings. For stationary precision machines — external cylindrical, surface, centreless and internal cylindrical grinding machines — high-precision grinding tools with ceramic, resin and CBN bonds are available. Core drilling machines are combined with wet and dry core bits from the core drilling range; floor preparation machines with suitable grinding, polishing and PCD tools.
If you are unsure which tool is suitable for your machine and your specific application, you will find detailed filters by machine type, material and application on the relevant category pages — or you can contact your local Tyrolit specialist dealer directly.
Tyrolit tools are designed for a wide range of materials. The largest proportion of the range consists of tools for steel and stainless steel — ranging from simple structural steels to high-alloy materials that place particular demands on corrosion resistance. In addition, there are tools for non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, copper, brass and zinc, as well as for plastics and PVC. For precision metalworking, tools are available for high-speed steel (HSS) and carbide. In the construction and diamond tools sector, Tyrolit covers concrete, reinforced concrete, natural stone and mineral building materials; in the foundry sector grey and ductile cast iron.
The appropriate material assignment can be selected directly via material filters on each sub-category page.
Tyrolit has been developing and manufacturing grinding and cutting tools since 1919 — with its headquarters in Schwaz, Austria, and now with over 30 production sites worldwide. With more than 80,000 standard products and over 500 international patents, Tyrolit is one of the world's leading manufacturers of grinding tools. The quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015; all grinding tools comply with the European safety standards EN 12413 and EN 13236. Tyrolit is also a founding member of the Organisation for the Safety of Abrasives (oSa) and is TÜV Austria-certified.
For users, this means: a range that has been thoroughly tested and complies with safety standards — from the entry-level line right through to high-performance tools such as CERABOND X — with reliable availability through specialist retailers worldwide and the B2B partner shop.
