Description

Straight type ceramic grain resin bond grinding wheels are designed for superior performance in saw gumming and sharpening applications. Ceramic abrasive technology provides sharper, self-sharpening cutting edges that fracture on a micro-scale, maintaining aggressive cutting action over the life of the wheel. Compared to conventional aluminum oxide wheels, ceramic grain offers faster stock removal, cooler grinding, and significantly longer life. These wheels are ideal for reshaping gullets, restoring tooth geometry, and sharpening saw blades with improved efficiency and reduced burn risk. The resin bond structure enhances grain retention while allowing a controlled breakdown that supports consistent edge quality in both production and maintenance sharpening environments.

Application

Application

1

Heavy-duty gumming of circular saw blades to restore gullets and tooth spacing.

2

Precision sharpening of band saw teeth for extended blade life and improved cutting accuracy.

3

High-efficiency maintenance of carbide-tipped or alloy steel saws where cooler, faster cutting is required.

Recommendations

Use consistent coolant delivery to enhance wheel life and preserve saw tooth hardness.
Choose grit size strategically—coarse grits for aggressive gumming and reshaping, finer grits for sharpening and finishing.
Dress wheels regularly to maintain correct geometry and optimal sharpness.
Mount and balance wheels properly to minimize vibration and ensure smoother operation.
Operate within the manufacturer’s recommended RPM range for safety and performance.
