Tyrolit wire saw systems are primarily used for the demolition of large-scale structures or in confined spaces, such as bridges and buildings, in the nuclear power and offshore sectors, or for sawing expansion joints in dam walls. With the world’s first ATEX-certified wire saw system, Tyrolit enables concrete cutting in explosion-hazardous areas of Zone 1.

Our floor saws are designed for cutting of concrete, cured concrete, green concrete and asphalt during renovation and demolition work on roads and industrial floors, as well as for cutting expansion joints and trenches for cable and pipe laying. A range of grinders and groovers is available for machining of concrete surfaces on roads and airport runways.

Our comprehensive assortment

As an alternative to conventional concrete cutting, Tyrolit offers pressing tools with up to 260 tonnes of bursting power and concrete crushers for the controlled, large-scale demolition of reinforced concrete for wall thicknesses of up to 300 mm. The advantage of these applications lies in the low-vibration controlled crushing of reinforced concrete elements using a dry process.

Tyrolit diamond tools featuring TGD® Technology ensure even load distribution, optimised cooling system and consistently high cutting performance thanks to the intelligent arrangement of the diamonds. As a result, the tool lasts noticeably longer and the machines are subjected to less load.

TGD®+ Technology is characterised by an innovative bond system that enables varying degrees of hardness and smooth transitions within the diamond segment. Combined with different diamond grain qualities, this ensures improved smooth running and balanced load distribution. This targeted profile control minimises power losses and maximises efficiency, thereby enhancing the segment’s self-sharpening effect.

P2® high-frequency technology registered by Tyrolit combines the compact design of electrical systems with the reliability and performance of hydraulic systems in a single machine. This innovative drive concept is based on the principle of permanent magnet drive motors and enables operation at high torque whilst maintaining reduced motor torque. The maintenance-friendly design of these compact units simplifies servicing and reduces costs.

Based on the modular principle of the Tyrolit Modular System, individual components can be used either within the same application area or for different applications. This not only makes work easier and more efficient, but also saves costs. Part of the Tyrolit Modular System, for example, is the ModulDrill™ quick clamping system, which enables our drill motors to be changed quickly between different Tyrolit drill rigs.

Thanks to the innovative OmniGrid® Technology, concrete cutting work can be completed even when the power supply is unreliable, such as in the event of a phase loss, excessively low supply voltages or other faults. With OmniGrid®, it is even possible to work on a single-phase mains supply and with long cable lengths, and thus at considerable distances from the power supply.
